Retrofitted with 360-degree surveillance cameras, the County of Orange Data Center exterior is constantly guarded. The external perimeter security detector consists of microwaves that identify movement and deter potential vandalism. All entries to and exits from the building require personnel and badge identification.

Inside, the building is patrolled by over 30 cameras where video can be recorded for play back and review. For added security, camera locations are never disclosed to personnel or visitors.

Activity is monitored from room to room. Closely guarded by the County of Orange Sheriff Department, the Center is also prepared for bomb threats, civil disturbances, earthquakes, fires, and natural disasters.
